Another colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Clave has started to arrive in stores.

It’s not confidential information, anyone that’s been paying attention can see that MSRP for sneakers have changed over the years. Several footwear executives confirmed that retail prices would continue to increase. We’ve seen all of our favorite brands bump up the price tags, with the most noticeable increases coming from Nike and Air Jordan 11. Business is looking quite lovely at the Swoosh, so it doesn’t seem like the prices are slowing down sales.

There will be another anticipated original colorway for the Air Jordan 12 lineup set to release soon. Since this colorway has never been retro’ed since it’s original release in 1997, Jordan Brand decided it’s time to bring back the classic “Obsidian” colorway. Here is a look at the grade-school version of this anticipated colorway.

As the summer release schedule continually grows more crowded, we’re reminded of an Air Jordan 14 Retro that’s been waiting in the wings for over fifteen years. So even with all the ‘Gold Medal’ and otherwise Olympic attention of late, the ‘Obsidian’ Air Jordan 12 is awaited with equal anticipation, one of the increasingly rare never-retroed Jays and a design that’s really just too beautiful to keep locked up for too much longer. Grainy Obsidian and pebbled white leathers make for a spectacularly clean two-toned look and the select University Blue accents remind us that Jordan was doing the tonal thing long before it was a widespread trend. Yet another case of Tinker’s timeless design shining through on a supremely wearable colorway, the Obsidian Twelves are coming up in June and this Grade School edition gives us a closer look after the jump below. Everyone is familiar with the famous saying If you can’t handle the heat, get out of the kitchen. (I’ll allow you to make your own New York Knicks jokes.) Ha! So, the same can be said about MJ’s first Air Jordan shoe, if you can’t handle the Air Jordan 1, get out of the… store? Your guess is as good as mine on that.

Not that we’re counting, but it’s been 440 days since Air Jordan 3 Brand released its lastAir Jordan 6 Premio from the Bin 23 Collection. Since then, there has been an abundance of Air Jordan Retros that have held us over, but to say the sneaker community has been patiently twiddling its collective thumbs is quite the understatement. Simply put, the Bin 23 Collection needs to make a comeback. Going back to the first Air Jordan 15 Premio release of the Air Jordan II, we caught the first glimpse at the unparalleled luxury of ‘Premio’, as each individually numbered unit featured pristine materials, solid-wood shoe-trees, and separate shoe bags – the stuff you’d expect with high-end $1,000+ dress shoes. Not only is the Air Jordan IX the rarest of the bunch, this autographed pair (scribbled on by Michael Jordan) is, according to the seller, just one of two in existence, so take a look below to refresh yourself on Premio goodness and check out the full listing from oregonsole on eBay.

So it appears that the Jordan Son Of Mars isn’t just a one-trick pony, because Air Jordan 9 got another great colorway on the way. We’ve yet to see the release of the heritage versions of ‘Bred’ and ‘Bordeaux’ hit stores, but this new Grey/Blue/Yellow colorway has come to light and definitely gives the rest of the Son Of Mars some competition as the best colorway. It features a combination of grey and Air Jordan 11 to that of a cadet’s uniform, with a touch of University Blue on the interior lining, lace-lock, and Jumpman logo on the heel. A tentative release date is set for August 11th, but we’ll keep you in tune if that changes, so check out the gallery of images below and let us know what you think. Photos: marqueesole

The last mid-Summer release of an Air Jordan XI was completed in 2010 when Jordan Brand dropped the Air Jordan 6 ‘Silver Anniversary’ on May 1st of that year. Almost two years forward and Jordan Brand is at it again, keeping the all-white upper but reducing the height to a ‘Low’ and adding in Black and Red trim to give it some color. It’s true that Low-top Air Jordans and Non-OG colorways are dealbreakers for some purists, but they just might have to bend their own personal rules because these are as sweet as low-top Jays get. Another quite note to point out – Air Jordan 14 Brand had stated the retail price to be $145, but these will in fact retail for $140. Nikestore will release these tomorrow at 8 AM and will run their Twitter RSVP tomorrow, but check with your local Jordan Brand purveyor to get yours or make ‘em yours with a bit more convenience by getting ‘em now from neo122401 on eBay.
